Nothing new right now. Life has been weird, then the world got weird. Maybe I’ll come out of my hole in 2023. I miss your faces!

Want to hang out with me? Ever wanted to ask me awkward personal questions about my shoe size and cheese preferences? Have you dreamed of getting me to sign your cousin’s uncle’s niece’s copy of Fairies in My Fireplace so you can sell it on eBay for millions someday?

Finding me in the wild isn’t easy, but it can be done. Here’s an ongoing list of the easiest places to catch me, other than hiding in the produce aisle at the grocery store until I walk by.

Because that could take awhile. Maybe check the bakery first. Mmmm. Bread.

  1. Rachel. I truly love each and every character, that your fantabulous brain has come up with! Are you planning any further books in the Monster Haven series? With the wrap up of the business essential being sold to exhumed and his new wife, the baker exiting and moving, mom dying, it just seemed like a good bye and everything wrapped up with a tidy bow. If it the end, I have no untied loose ends, and am fine with that, just hoping it isn’t the end. With a baby on the way, it would have been fun to know the baby’s special powers. Mom’s powers, plus reaper, equals what??? Therein lies the magical question…. anyway thanks for reading my question, and I have read and reread all of your books, they just are really that good. Sincerely, Mrs. Aisha Kimberly Hashmi

    • Hi, Aisha-Kimberly! I’m so glad you stopped by! I’m also thrilled that you’ve enjoyed the Monster Haven books so much. (And exhumed made me giggle.)

Zoey and Riley’s story is pretty much told. I know, the baby thing was still left unanswered, but I promise, I’ll get to it eventually. It’ll probably be a short story all its own. But as far as novels go, Zoey’s story is finished.

BUT! Kam is getting her own spinoff series, called Djinn Haven. Kam’s first book comes out in January, and it’s called TO CATCH A STOLEN SOUL. Sometime during the series, she’ll probably visit our friends back in California, since she considers Zoey to be her sister. It won’t happen in book one, though. Book one is already available for pre-order. 🙂

AND! Sometime in the not so distant future, there will very likely be another spinoff series featuring Maurice and Sara solving mysteries from their new bakery. I’m playing with the idea of calling it Muffin Haven.

So. It’s over, but it’s not over. I’ll probably keep taking us back to that world for a very long time. It still has a lot of stories left for me to tell. 🙂 In the meantime, have you tried my other series, The Mt. Olympus Employment Agency? The first trilogy is about a woman whose houseplant comes to life and makes her get a job as a muse. There are a lot more of those coming, too.

Thanks again for the kind words and for stopping by! — Rachel
